If you were a Mobile App, which App would you be and why?

So, here I am – a Mobile App ready to woo you with my young appreciation of the subculture hippie revolution and freedom of expression. One click on my digitally enhanced button and your escape from the humdrum of daily life begins. I Love The 60s.

Not to be confused with the VH1 decade nostalgia television show, I would be the leading expert on all things
love and not war, a digital tribute to tie-dye, fringe and flare. Apart from my aesthetic appeal and psychedelic
visual features, I would serve as a virtual escape from modern day woes. I represent a time of libertine attitudes, radical political change and human innovation. I stand for freedom from social constraints of the previous age through extreme deviation from the norm. But most importantly, I stand for good music.

Good music heals people. Strike the right chord and that Top 10 Hit has the power to liberate a generation from
a long list of postmodern misadventures. My featured playlist, known as the “Magical Mystery Tour Music Store,”
is a quick fix for the British maniac in all of us. Download John, Paul, Ringo and George to go back to a time
where the night held diamonds in the sky and people were glad all over. But this music library also pays tribute
to some local heroes: Neil Diamond for his rebellious nature, which I share, Etta James for a powerful soul that I admire, the Rolling Stones who professionalized play time, and the list goes on. This myriad of pop culture icons
is meant to inspire, enlighten and engage the user in a lasting legacy of what is best described as a lyrical revolution – a coming together, not a generational divide.

Society labels you, puts you in a box. We live in a world of complacency, content under the crippling power of
“The Man". But we can't allow ourselves to be swallowed by the rat race. Therefore, I installed a bonus feature: Simon & Garfunkel, your friendly neighborhood GPS. This dynamic duo provides reliable positioning, navigation and timing services so you won’t get lost in your new world of understanding. It is now safe to dream on.

So I say to my users: embrace the “love generation” creed, rage against the machine with love and understanding, tap into a higher state of being, man. And no, “mind altering” does not refer to our fellow brothers and sisters at Woodstock. I’m talking about self-awareness. Just take it from Jimi, “I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.”

Oh, and as far as material possessions go – this application is free of charge. “All you need is love.”
